That's definitely one way to do it. Another great way would be to blind them paint filled "water ballons", and then burn them out from underneath. Eventually it will get so hot inside the vehicle that they will have to exit, and then that is when you finish them off.

I think pushing them off a bridge or the balloon thing would make them question their "invincibility".
